The first meeting: your host, Sophie

It's hard to introduce yourself, especially when you don't like to see yourself in pictures.
This one, "slightly retouched", leaves a bit of freedom to your imagination.

First of all, what I like: tourism and travel, cooking and good food, hiking and nature, 'old stones' and history... subjects that we may have the pleasure of discussing during your stay.

What led me to create L'Échappée Belle bed and breakfast in 2018?
The combination of several of my passions above.
I started my career in the hotel and tourism industry, so it was a return to my roots.
The desire to help people discover this magnificent adopted region (I'm from Provence).
Not forgetting the pleasure of satisfying my guests and allowing them to enjoy a quiet interlude in a welcoming, green setting.

Why "l'Échappée Belle"?

Now let's talk about the place.
Not the surroundings and their treasures, which you can explore here, but the house itself.

The early 18th century farm was part of the Château de Saint Brisson estate and was a tenant farm.

The charm of old stone

L'Echappée Belle B&B is a restored 18th-century farmhouse, typical of the Berry region with its brickwork and exposed stone facade.

A cosy atmosphere

Inside the house you'll find comfortable bedrooms and welcoming communal areas.

A green park

With its swimming pool, the park is a relaxing place to enjoy the birdsong.

A combination of different styles and rooms each with its own personality.

Where is this little paradise?

L'Echappée Belle is located in the Loire Valley. Precisely in Saint Brisson sur Loire, on the slopes of ancient vineyards, a few kilometres from Gien and the Briare canal bridge.
